About Me

I find writing biographies about myself difficult.  Many times I've had to write in third person, that's kind of strange.  Since this is my blog and nobody told me how to write it I'm going to go with first person and spare you the 'Zach does this, and Zach does that stuff!'.

I'm Zach.  I've been programming since 1998 (I thought I would give some of you old-timers something to laugh about).  I started with Delphi , simple web-pages, some Perl, some Java, some C++, and some dabbling in other stuff (can you say Lisp, Prolog, or Scheme? <shudder>).  I continued doing that through various part-time and full-time jobs while attending school until I graduated in 2001 with a BS in Computer Science from East Carolina University (or as some people like to call it EastERN Carolina University).  Since that time I've been using Coldfusion almost exclusively.  My previous employers include (starting with the present): Lockheed Martin, East Carolina University, Discovery Insurance Company, Nortel Networks, and Britthaven Nursing Homes.

I'm also going through the MBA program at ECU and should be finished next Summer (Summer 2007). I've learned quite a bit through my classes and have a keen interest in many business topics.  I plan on hitting technical issues along with general issues and hopefully you can find my posts useful.  Have a nice day and thanks for reading my blog!

Zach
